- Apply eyelashes after you have completed your eye makeup; if you are not wearing eye shadow, use black or any shade of dark eyeliner pencil to create a thin line closest to the lash line as possible, this will make your eyelashes appear fuller.
- Measure the strip to ensure it fits the length of your eyes perfectly. You don’t want any overlapping, it can cause discomfort if its too close to the inner corner of the eye or close to the outer corner.
- If you are using an invisible band lash. Use your back eyeliner pencil to fill the gaps. Of course, you can use other eyeliner colours, I break the rules all the time.
- I prefer to use an angled tweezer to assist with accurate placement. Apply the lashes with your eyes open, it gives a more realistic line-up and frames the eyes best. I recommend working with a magnifying mirror.
- Curl your natural lashes first then apply mascara, not to the extensions but to fuse your lashes with the strip, this is especially for persons with long/short straight lashes. I also love to apply mascara on my lashes first. That way you will create a fusion which if done correctly it would appear more natural.
BONUS TIP: If your lashes are curly, apply the strip first, then use mascara to blend and fuse with the falsies. Ensure you coat the lashes from the root all the way to the tip. For the best result, line the top of your eyelid with your darkest colour that you have, reason being, if you don’t manage to place the lashes closest to your lash line there won’t be a separation between your lashes and the extensions. The liner will help to disguise the space.
