I have a question how dangerous is the eye lashes extensions?

Eyelash extensions should pose no danger as long as they are done professionally and properly, by someone who knows what they are doing. I say this because women sit before untrained persons, sometimes because they come cheap. I have heard too many horror stories, so choose wisely. Only the glue that is manufactured for the eye area should be used, the most popular one is LashTite by Ardell. Bonding glue should NOT be used on the eye area. Reason being it is latex, dust and dirt is trapped more easily which can lead to infection. There are several application techniques used, some techs apply them from above or from below which ever one is use, the lashes should be attached as close to the lash line as possible without touching the skin. When the glue dries you should not experience any discomfort when you close your eyes. Below is a list of a few more guidelines.

  1. You should have it removed within 2-3 weeks.
  2. You should have them removed properly by using a Lash Free Remover, this liquid is designed to melt the glue, which makes the process of removing less traumatic on your natural lashes.
  3. DO NOT yank off your lashes, using baby oil etc., it does not work, you risk tearing out your natural lashes.
  4. I discover not everyone can wear eyelash extensions because of extra sensitivity, so if by day 2 or 3 you experience any major discomfort I suggest having them removed immediately.
  5. Caring for lashes is easy once it is done properly you can wash your face as normal, with extreme care of course, use makeup remover towels and q-tips to remove eye makeup.
  6. Avoid using oily products around the eye area this would contribute to premature lifting
  7. Remember you they are extensions, so your natural sleep habits and other factors would determine how long your lashes would really last.
